There are 3846 people in the White Oak ward of Swanley, Kent that should be absolutely ashamed of themselves. In fact, lets not beat around the bush, you're a bunch of lazy idiots! Why? Simple, the powers that be organised a by-election for the town council, and the turnout was a pathetic 18.5%, meaning approximately 3846 people couldn't be arsed to vote. Like I said, pathetic!

According to the BBC, next month, MIT (Massachusetts Institute of Technology) will begin offering a free online course in 6.002x: Circuits and Electronics through its fully automated MITx programme. From the looks of it, it'll be free to join from anywhere in the world, and those that complete it successfully will receive a certificate, while MIT students can complete the course as part of their degree. Apparently there are plans to offer more courses in a wide range of subjects once this initial trial has completed.
Update: I have now enrolled on the course which will begin on March 5th 2012. You can do the same by going to the MIT page and hitting on enroll.

Failure to heed this advice is likely to lead to your computer being held ransom pending payment of a large amount of money. Others have reported this as being close to £200 GBP.

With the completion of a couple of bugfixes and the publication of the RSS feed yesterday, the main development work on CMv6 is now complete and CallamMcMillan.com is now online. What this means is that while I still need to do some development work on the site, most of this is now cosmetic, or on the back-end of the site and the main focus is on content. This post will look at a few of the outstanding tasks and some of the issues the site faces.

When I was in Taiwan, I saw this advert for an Android Tablet and was so amazed by the tastelessness of it that I burst out laughing. Of course the tablet is going to be rubbish, but I like it for their advertising campaign featuring Steve Job's angel! So here it is on YouTube.
