Facebook. What a great way to waste ten minutes of your day. Turns out that it's also a great way to waste money if you bought into the IPO with shares currently trading at $32 - 16% down on Friday's launch price. Now there is investigations ongoing into alleged irregularities in the IPO and rumour that they are going to abandon the NASDAQ and move their listing to the NYSE. None of which gets away from the fact that the company is horribly over-valued.

When I signed up with my web hosting company nearly five years ago, they offered the best service for the price. By the time the last renewal come round though they were useless, so I changed to my current hosts - EvoHosting.co.uk.
Why am I giving them free advertising, well last night I couldn't get my browser to save the password to my control panel, so I opened a ticket with them. They fixed it within 4 hours on a Saturday night. That's good service!

Just under a week ago, the Raspberry Pi foundation announced that a big bit of news was coming on Wednesday morning at 6am. Hopefully this was the release of the Pis’. Well, not exactly, the announcement was that they had partnered with RS and Farnell to manufacture and distribute Raspberry Pis’, and within two minutes both websites had been DDOS’d offline. Since then I have managed to get an order in with Farnell for a Pi, and will hopefully receive it in the coming weeks.
Worryingly though my Google Analytics reports are showing that people are searching for “Raspberry Pi Scam” or words to that effect. So this is also a message to tell people not to worry!

When I was in Taiwan, I saw this advert for an Android Tablet and was so amazed by the tastelessness of it that I burst out laughing. Of course the tablet is going to be rubbish, but I like it for their advertising campaign featuring Steve Job's angel! So here it is on YouTube.
